InSite Education Facility Services
Industry experience coupled with a passion for education reform. InSite Educational Facility Services is an education-focused real estate firm with a mission to help public and private schools find the best solutions for their facility needs. They specialize in providing site selection services to new and existing schools throughout the United States. In addition, they offer related services such as asset sales and leasing, business acquisitions/dispositions, assistance in financing, entitlement services and much more.InSite Educational Facilities Services is the only national full service brokerage and consulting firm exclusively dedicated to educational facilities.
My Role
For this project I had to wear all the hats. I worked with the company president and a partner to fine tune the asthetic and functionality of the site. I created wireframes, and mockups (both lo-fi and hi-fi), prototypes, icons, and developed the site.
Goals
- Make the site responsive.
- Create a site that is less "text-heavy" and be able to show the necessary information, without bombarding the user with text.
- Showcase selected projects.
- Create a way for potential clients to contact a specific member of the team, or inquire about services.
Execution
- I used the bootstrap framework in order to make the site responsive.
- By adding whitespace and colored sections, along with utilizing drop downs and dialog boxes, I was able to engage users and clean up the onslaught of text.
- A portfolio page was created to showcase highlighted projects.
- On the contact page I created an interactive map that displays a team member dedicated to specific region of the US. Adding a simple contact form allows the user to send a message.
